That plane is of good quality. Considering the price it's a bargain. The cutting steel feels a little bit softer than my other planes, but still on the hard side. The edge retention is good as well is the sharpness. First I was hesitating because of the modern soft steel, I'm used to Kamaji. But it really is very soft and feels good when sharpening.
