Excellent whetstone,cuts metal quickly. No pressure is needed on the knife during sharpening.
The plastic box that doubles as a stoneholder is excellent.

I knew what i was buying and this is the best stone money can buy for my interest. I use them to sharpen knives and chisels, very hard, base included to use as a stone holder, great feedback and for me being a splash and go stone means a lot. The packaging was excellent, delivery time and nothing but praise for this business. I wish they would bring in more kitchen knives and send some newsletters with new in stock items.

1000 stone cuts fast. Plastic case works great as a non skid base. Stone is pretty hard and should not require excessive maintenance for flattening. Really appreciate the fact that pre soaking is not necessary - occasional small pours from my water bottle is easy.

Store itself is great. Fast answer to my question. Package was well packed and shipped promptly. Order was placed on Thursday and in my hands in U.S. (New Jersey) on Tuesday. Excellent prices more than makes up for shipping costs.

After trying a variety of stones, these are my favorite, and the workhorse of my sharpening kit. Eventually, I will have only kuromaku stones. The don't require soaking after intial setup, have a nice feel, work quickly, and are easy to flatten.

I was surprised how annoyed I was with the messy swarf left behind by diamond and oil stones. I prefer a stone that can easily be lubricated and washed with water.

i ordered the shapton kurumaku stones and somehow they arrived from japan to europe in like 4 days. thats amazing and the price for the stones and other stuff is just incredeble definetly buying from here againm
