I purchase all of my Japanese hand tools from Yamasuke Kurashige. They are the only Japanese tool seller I’ve found that provides the maker’s name and location, as well as the specific metals used; they even provide details of the wood species and other important details. Their website is fantastic too. We are very fortunate here in North America to have access to so many fine quality Japanese tools.
