The steel is tempered just right, at least for me, striking a balance between edge durability and ease of sharpening. I did not test it to destruction though, as this is not a striking chisel.

Shipping was ridiculous but product was great
No idea in God's green earth you decided to ship from Japan, via U.S. and get a giant customs fee from the U.S. Should've just shipped to Canada. Great tools though, no complaint there. Great product, stupid logistics supply chain.
