木島鋸独自の熱処理（焼入・焼戻し）・研削加工・精密特殊本目立など従来の本職用鋸の技術をいかして製造しておりますので、ねばり・耐久力・切れ味は今までの替刃式（焼入鋼帯使用鋸など）よりも優れています。
切れ味がにぶっても、目立修理もできます。
