Great stones

I've had other stones in the past by Shapton and King. Those two are not even close in performance compared to the Hibiki. The Hibiki are the best synthetic stones that I have ever used. If you own a Kanna, don't hesitate to get these stones. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Best Japanese Stone I Have Ever Used

At this point I've hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours on Japanese sharpening stones and without a doubt this stone is the best I have ever used. It abrades like a 2,000 grit stone and polishes like a 5,000 grit stone. It's very durable, smooth, and doesn't absorb water like a sponge. Worth every penny and then some.

Hibiki 3909

Cuts very very fast, leaves very even pattern, and does not seem to dish excessively. It is somewhat thirsty gettting started

R
Roman

Not as soft as king. Cuts very well. Easy to flatten
