Beautiful steel and dai. Blade wasn’t very flat so it’s taken some time to get there. Overall the dai was in good shape and required minimal effort to fit the blade. Cuts nicely, leaves beautiful surface.

Very high quality plane blade and dai, as expected. The blade did require some fitting into the dai, which is expected with all new planes, but I was surprised at the amount I needed to widen the opening in order for the plane to fit, and to have some lateral adjustability. Resist the urge to grind down your blade’s width, and just focus on taking small amounts of material off, focusing near the top of the opening rather than near the bottom. But overall this is a very good tool that will last me a lifetime if taken care of properly.
