I’ve ordered quite a few things from this shop. They have all been high-quality products packaged extremely well and had a great price. I hope they have another 70 years of bringing great handmade Japanese tools to the marketplace.
I first thought there was a flaw but Kurahige got back promptly and explained that many two rod kebob only have one rod that has uranium- my mistake! That api for the team there for excellent service and care for customer!

I have ordered over a dozen chisels, a few hand saws, a few planes, and other tools from Kurashige. Everything is of excellent quality and several of my favorite tools came from this store. It used to be difficult and expensive to obtain second hand Japanese tools, but now I can easily shop for brand new tools on my phone and compared to Lie Nielsen or Veritas, these Japanese tools are actually a better value. Kurashige has become my go-to source for woodworking tools.
These chisels along with the other tools received from Yamasuke Kurashige Tools are of excellent quality. The company's customer service is outstanding and the shipping is astonishingly fast.
